Ms. Maysa Orensa

Maya Orensa, an Egyptian soprano, cultivated her love for music and theater from an early age. Her journey began at five with piano lessons, immersing her in the world of classical music. At 18, she delved into opera singing, pursuing studies at the Cairo Opera House alongside a bachelor’s in Architecture. Later, she honed her craft with Professor Caroline Dumas at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. Her talent graced the stage with the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, performing renowned works like Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Verdi’s Requiem, and Grieg’s Peer Gynt. Maysa showcased her versatility, singing in nine languages, including Russian, Norwegian, and Greek. Her repertoire boasts challenging arias like the Bell Song from Lakmé and the Queen of the Night’s aria from The Magic Flute. In 2014, Maysa relocated to California, where she embarked on a journey of teaching piano and classical singing (Bel canto) while continuing to enrich the musical landscape.
